Description/Blazon

On a disc, gyronny of three arondi Azure, Vert and Or, in fess point a transparent globe gridlined and displaying the Western Hemisphere above and between a pair of open hands in profile couped at the wrist; the sinister hand in dexter, the dexter hand in sinister, all Sable, all within a narrow border Black.

Attached above the disc, a White scroll edged with a narrow Black border and inscribed "LEADING GLOBAL LOGISTICS" in Black letters.

Attached below the disc, a White scroll edged with a narrow Black border and inscribed "1ST LRS" in Black letters.


Symbolism

Blue and yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The globe represents the combined willingness, ability and dedication to employ first class global logistics support. The hands signify the caring ability of the unit to carry out its mobilization of cargo, equipment and personnel in worldwide contingency operations.
