Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The lower field represents the ground forces and the Tactical Air Control Party support. The interlocking center line is a dovetail combining the war fighters of the Air Force and the Army. The wing represents the Air Force superiority. The sword stands for strength and honor. The rattlesnakes represent the unit's preparedness to strike their lethal blow on target.
