Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow signifies the purity of our cause to support the mission and the remembrance of our brave brothers and sisters in arms who are in harm's way. The tiger signifies strength and is indicative of the unit's proud heritage as part of the "Flying Tigers." The folded flag being protected by the tiger is symbolic of the unit's dedicated support of Airmen worldwide. The Latin motto, "CORS TIGRES," translates to "THE HEART OF THE TIGER," in English.
