Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The linked annulets forming the four shields demonstrate the integrating of contingency planning with materiel management processes. The seven stars arched to chief and two in base recall the numerical designation of the Squadron and indicate the mission directives: vehicle maintenance/operations, cargo movement, passenger movement, personal property, supplies, equipment, deployment planning, fuels, and support agreement management. The wings in the center show that the unit is a proud part of the Air Force Materiel Command.
