Symbolism
Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The bald eagle represents our proud nation--a nation ever reluctant to make war, but always prepared to fight for the preservation of freedom. The arrows represent the 3d Combat Camera Squadron and the unit's readiness to employ forces and related combat capabilities throughout the full spectrum of military conflict. The globe, topped with square film perforations, represents the combat camera mission--the worldwide acquisition of still and motion imagery in support of classified and unclassified air, sea, and ground military operations.
